Photography
Photography was my first real passion. My relationship with photography began with my father, a historian who toted my sister and I around the country to seemingly every Civil War battlefield or family cemetery he could find. Through those experiences, he taught me the value of history, the value of preserving and remembering the past. To capture a moment on film is to capture it forever. I really got bit by the photo bug after I first stepped into a dark room in high school. The skill and patience it takes to scout, shoot and develop your photographs was fascinating to me.

Maternity & Newborns
As a mother, I can attest that there are few things in this world more beautiful than a new life. That’s why I jumped at the chance to work form Mom365 and photograph newborn babies as a profession. I parlayed this experience into freelancing maternity shoots as well. Below are a few of my favorites.
